

After looking at the two original videos by the band and seeing they had no lyrical connection, we feel we have the freedom to interpret the song how we want.

Over all the song does not have an indepth meaning. The goal was to become well known and 'the main streets' and share music 'completing your mission' by doing what you set out to do.

"Out on the main streets, completing your mission" They could be nervous, playing to a big audience for the first time. The people who are social recluses are being encouraged not to hide. "You hid there last time, you know we're gonna find you" 'Many surprises' could refer the music they create and the success they could recieve. Basements are also well known as the place where small bands write and play music. The single was released on 18 February 2010 by the French label Kitsun Music and Co-operative Music. 'Basment people' could refer to antisocial personas who do no get out much, encouragiong them to leave as 'many surpises' could await them ' Undercover Martyn ' is the third single by the Northern Irish indie rock band Two Door Cinema Club. A girl that they like, sweet talking them.

On March 30th, 2022, YouTuber Kopi posted a new Hans and Roon animation where Roon dances to "Uptown Puffs" by AshCoolBro and Hans comes in to ask her if she's ready to go to Minsk, gaining over 1,800 views in around an hour (shown below).Undercover Martyn is a song where the singer is trying to convince his friend (the titular Martyn, an Irish name like the band) to leave his social isolation (undercover) and discover new things.

On February 23rd, the same YouTuber posted a full Dame Da Ne meme using clips from the various animations, gaining over 10,000 views in two weeks (shown below, right). On January 14th, 2022, YouTuber LeonCid posted a music video for Two Door Cinema Club's "Undercover Martyn" using clips from the various animations, gaining over 736,000 views in two months (shown below, left). On December 31st, YouTuber Sanya_3599 reuploaded the opening clip from the August 21st animation, gaining over 700,000 views in three months.

On October 26th, the animator posted a video where Hans, Roon standing behind him, throws a rocket launcher through the TV to another anime girl, gaining over 353,000 views in a similar span of time (shown below, right). On October 17th, Kopi posted a video where Roon shoots Hans with a rocket launcher, gaining over 944,000 views in five months (shown below, left). On August 21st, Kopi, the creator of the animation, posted the video to their channel along with a number of additional animations (shown below). The video gained over 2,900 upvotes in eight months and was apparently taken from the official Azur Lane Discord according to a commenter. On July 16th, 2021, Redditor ShionPotatoKun posted a video to /r/AzureLane where Roon stands to the left of the screen while Hans slowly rises from the bottom set to Two Door Cinema Club's song "Undercover Martyn." He then slaps her breasts to the beat of the song and starts dancing. Star and NinjaNub, ArachnitCZ, auditor and Hauptmann respectively and are available for Source Filmmaker on the Steam Workshop. The character models for Roon and Hans are created by VisorMachine™ and R. The first references the Are Ya Winning Son? and Dame Da Ne memes. The video consists of three comedic animations featuring the two characters. On May 2nd, 2021, YouTuber Kopi posted a video titled, " 3 Videos with Hans and Roon," gaining over 655,000 views in 10 months (shown below). One commenter wrote the next day, "Damn it Hans!," offering a possible origin for the characters. On February 13th, 2020, Redditor Madturkey55 posted a photoshop to /r/AzureLane showing Roon posing with a photograph of a German WWII soldier, titled, "Happy Valentine's Day From Me And My Darling Roon," gaining over 420 upvotes in two years (shown below).
